Centre Line Method of Estimation

There’re two rooms. Determine concrete in base (foundation), brickwork in base (foundation), and earthwork in excavation.

Every room dimension is 3.5 m and 4 m. The second room is same like the initial room. Complete wall is 0.30 m. As a result, the part or half of the wall is 0.30/2 = 0.15 m. Clear dimension (length) of the room is 4 m.

Representative sample (cross section) for the base (foundation)

Width is 0.90 m. The second step is 0.6 m. Third step is 0.45 m. Breadth or depth of first step is 0.15 m. Depth of second step is 0.30 m. The third step is 0.30 m. Framework or Superstructure height is 3.20 m.

To determine the magnitude for the structure via centre line method,

Long walls dimension or length = 3.5 m + 3.5 m + 0.30 m + 0.30 m x 2 = 15.2 m

Short walls dimension or length = 3 x 4.30 m = 12.90 m

Wall complete dimension or length = 12.90 m + 15.2 m = 28.1 m
