A position is vacant for Civil Engineer Project Manager

Urgently need a Project Manager with Civil Engineering degree, capable of dealing with client, must have experience in high quality ground works, services, hard landscaping project, project site near Charing Cross at £275-295 / shift. Need a qualified and skilled civil engineering project manager.

About employer: Expanding Contractor working on high quality ground works, services and hard landscaping projects, needs a Project Manager with high work ethics for an on-going project on a contract basis initially, project location near Charing Cross at £275-295 / day.

Job description: Need a Project Manager who is a Civil Engineer, having degree, with experience on Highway improvement schemes, section 278 agreement works and commercial hard landscaping. The applicant should have 5 years + experience in similar works. The tasks will all have high precision setting out for high quality pavement finishes, granite and yorkstone paving, water features along with the associated ground works. Requires attention to detail and the candidate should have ideal knowledge of street works environment.

The extent of works will cover Highway / pavement improvements and re-instatement to add soft and hard landscaping, associated street furniture and lighting. As a qualified Civil Engineer, the applicant will be expected to be fully IT literate, with excellent oral and written English. This is a position that requires you to deal with the entire client facing aspects, assigning the day to day site works to the site team.

The Project involves working in public areas. As a professional Civil Engineer, you must demonstrate previous work experience in working for a Contractor and running the engineering aspects of plans. Daily duties will include programming, working with the client to ensure delays is reduced and that the information flow is good in both directions.

Job will be on contract basis initially. Rate is negotiable based on experience and ability. Working hours are 07:30 to 17:30 PM. Applications ONLY considered from applicants legally allowed to work in the UK.
