How Many Bricks in One Cubic Feet

There is a brick [without mortar] of length equal to 9 inch, breadth equal to 4.5 inch and height or depth equal to 3 inch.

0.08 inch mortar is included to the brick. Length becomes 9.08 inch, breadth becomes 4.58 inch and height becomes 3.08 inch.

Bricks in one cubic feet:

Brick size (with no mortar) is equal to 9” x 4.5” x 3”

Brick size (with mortar) is equal to 9.08” x 4.58” x 3.08”

Brick volume (with mortar) is equal to L X B X H = 9.08” x 4.58” x 3.08” = 128 inch3

1 ft3 volume is equal to 1 ft x 1 ft x 1 ft

1 ft3 volume [in inch] is equal to 12 inch x 12 inch x 12 inch = 1728 inch3

Number of bricks is equal to one cubic inch volume/one brick volume = 1728/128 = 13.5 numbers of bricks.
