How to Calculate Quantity of Cement, Sand and Aggregate in RCC Slab
In this construction video tutorial, we will learn how to calculate the quantity of cement, sand and aggregate in RCC slab.
Assume a slab having length = 5 m and breadth = 3 m and thickness = 10 cm.
Compacted volume of slab = 3 x 5 x 10/100 = 3 x 5 x 0.1 = 1.5 m3
Change the volume into loose volume which is = 1.54 x 1.5 = 2.31 m3
Quantity of cement = Component of required component/addition of all components x loose volume
Quantity of cement = 1/7 x 2.31 = 0.33 m3
Also, 0.33/0.035 = 9.4 bags
Quantity of aggregate = 4/7 x 2.31 = 1.32 m3
Also, 1.32 x 35.315 = 46.62 ft3
Quantity of sand = 2/7 x 2.31 = 0.66 m3
Also, 0.66 x 35.315 = 23.31 ft3
Quantity of steel in kg = 1% of concrete volume x steel density = 1.5 x 1/100 x 7850 = 117.75 kg
