How to find out the Quantity of Concrete in a Semi Sphere Slab
In the special civil engineering tutorial, one is going to obtain several helpful instructions to determine the quantity of materials with respect to a spherical dome slab.
Furthermore, a dome signifies an architectural component as well as rounded vault that builds the roof of a structure or building, usually with a circular base.
Moreover, the spherical dome is made from a flat cut in a sphere.
Furthermore, the computation is done on the basis of the subsequent dimensions:
- External diameter is equal to 16 feet.
- External radius of semi sphere is equal to 8.5 feet.
- Interior radius of semi sphere is equal to 8 feet.
- Height is even considered as 8 feet.
- Slab thickness = 6 inches or 0.5 feet.
In order to figure out the volume of semi sphere, the subsequent formula is utilized:
= 2/3 x π x ((R)2 – (r)2) x Height
When placing the values, the subsequent are obtained:
= 2/3 x 3.142 x [(8.5)2 – (8)2] x 8 = 138.24 cft
Therefore, the needed concrete of the dome slab is equal to 138.24
Also, the formula for calculating the area of semi sphere is in the following way:
3 x π x (Radius)2
