Formula to calculate weight of mild steel plate

In this construction video tutorial provides some step-by-step guidelines to how to calculate weight of mild steel plate

Mild steel plate can be in any form (window steel, etc). Suppose mild steel plate with length = 150 m, width = 50 mm and height = 15 mm.

Given Length = 150 m, Given Breadth = 50 mm = 0.05 m, Given Height = 15 mm = 0.015 m

Plate Volume = Length x Breadth x Height = 150 x 0.05 x 0.015 = 0.1125 m3

Mild steel Density= 7850 kg/m3

Also, Mild Steel Plate Weight = Volume x Density = 0.1125 x 7850 = 883.125 kg
