Construction guidelines to construct stirrups for RC Beam
The construction video offers illustration on the matter of in what way to construct stirrups for RC Beam construction.
For concrete beams, depth continually varies. In case the beam has larger depth, the shear strength is going to be raised. In case the depth is insufficient, steel stirrups must be incorporated to increase the beam shear capacity.
Such stirrups usually refer to a part of steel that is inclined to a rectangular form. Small diameter steel such as #3 and #4 rebar is used regularly. The stirrup usually encircles the beams’ base and top bars.
Stirrups are provided to keep the main reinforcement rebars jointly in a RCC structure.
Stirrups are organized at accurate spaces to columns and beams to prevent them from distorting. Furthermore, they safeguard RCC structures from deteriorating during seismic activities [earthquakes].
In India, it’s common way to build stirrups by hand on the work site itself.
The requisite structure strength is achieved only once the stirrups are in standard quality.
